Zip line in the Rain Forest
This was a first time experience with zip lining for three “over 60” folks. Zip line was a series of 12 lines throughout the Antigua rain forest. The whole experience was amazing! The crew was fabulous and quickly made even us first timers feel comfortable, safe and secure. They were efficiently prepared, knowledgable and helpful. Safety was a priority throughout the experience. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone who thinks they would like to experience zip lining. We even had the bonus of a rain shower while flying through the rainforest! It was the only detract ion from another wise awesome tour.
Great Value, Awesome Adventure
We booked this excursion through Sandals Grand Antigua Resort & Spa. A car picked us up at the resort and waited for us on site during the duration of the excursion. The entire thing was about 3.5 hours in length. The zip-lining was exhilarating and well-worth the rainforest humidity. The staff (“Rangers” as they are called) were fun, lively, and very well trained. If at any point you had concerns, they were willing and helpful to ease your mind.
There were about a dozen (12) zip-lines, one 300 feet long. It was an incredibly unique way to experience the rainforest from hundreds of feet in the air. I’d highly recommend everyone participating in the “challenge” course at the end of the zip-lining segment. It is exhausting, but absolutely worth it. The adrenaline rush is like no other. Highly recommended.
Awesome family fun
Our family loved this zipline experience. My 5 and 9 year olds had the best time. No fear. Just fun! The staff is professional, the facilities were nice for a relaxing drink after flying over the canopy!
Tons of fun with wonderful people and a great way to spend a day with a scared girlfriend that eventually lightened up and also had a blast. I will return and do this event again. The guy in the gorilla mask needs a shave but loads of laughs as everything was perfect- – great job to all.
We did the 12+1 zip line tour in September, and had a great time. It was low season so there were only 8 in our group, and 6 only did part of the course as they were doing a combined activity day, so for the last few lines there were just the two of us. The rangers are great and make you feel safe, and if you are nervous ( as I was)they seem to sense that and give you a bit of extra support! I did crash land the screamer with a huge bruise to prove it, but if you remember to keep your legs up when you land you will be ok! Equipment and safety are paramount and they did a thorough job at the briefing, and not once did we feel unsafe. Because of the tree canopy and the fact you haven’t really got time to look down when you are on the zipline, you don’t realise just how high up some of the lines are. The forest is beautiful, and if you have a car be sure to take a drive down Fig tree Drive, past where the zip-lining is based. All in all it was an amazing experience.
